The Tinderbox is situated in the village of Darley Dale sitting between the towns of Matlock and Bakewell. It is surrounded by the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire in the Peak District.

In the past, the building has operated as a restaurant, bistro and holiday cottage. Renovations were made to create The Tinderbox- a bright, purposeful building to develop the performing arts.
